Saturday December 7th was the official competitive opening of St Francis FC's new astro pitch in John Hyland Park and the honour of playing the first game was bestowed upon our Under 14 Major stars.The opponents on the day came from Esker Celtic.

The game saw the home side run out 3-1 victors with Tofunmi Afolabi bagging a brace and the honour of being the first scorer on the new state of the art 3G astro pitch.

Speaking to team captain Kelan Sunderland after the game Tofunmi said he ..."felt great, (he's) very happy, scored two thats great and we got a win out of it and that's even better".

A great day for the lads and one we hope Tofunmi will remember for a long time to come.
